What is a Glacier?

A glacier is a river system of flowing ice. In the next few slides you will find information about glacier formation, and the two types of glaciers -- valley and continental. The last few slides will show how the Puget Sound was shaped by a continental glacier beginning 20,000 years before present (ybp).
